Toxicological tests on Spodoptera litura showed that the high concentration of pyriproxyfen in the hemolymph accelerated the secretion of sex hormones in the prothymus of insects; Inhibit embryonic development and egg hatching, or generate eggs without vitality, so as to effectively control and achieve the purpose of pest control.

Pyriproxyfen is a juvenile hormone-type chitin synthesis inhibitor with strong ovicidal effect. It is a highly effective insecticide against sweet potato whitefly and scale insects.

Pyriproxyfen also has systemic transfer activity, affecting larvae hiding on the underside of leaves. For mosquito and fly sanitary pests, the late 4th instar larvae are a relatively sensitive stage. Low doses of this product lead to the death of the pupation stage and inhibit the formation of adults.

Pyriproxyfen is mainly used to control mosquitoes, flies, fleas, fleas and other public health pests. In particular, its granules can be directly thrown into sewage ponds or spread evenly on the surface of mosquito and fly breeding grounds, which is more convenient to use.
